“Business Month” occurs throughout the month of April. The monthly activities focuses on efforts to stimulate interest in business education, to recognize women who have made outstanding achievements in the field of business and to provide a progressive network of talent, skills, knowledge and resources that are accessible to all sorority members to help each one achieve their professional and/or personal objectives.
Psi Chapter holds an annual Business Month Education and Scholarship Luncheon in April to recognize women and youth in business and those women and youth who have made outstanding contributions in the community. The proceeds from this luncheon funds our many scholarships that Psi Chapter offers to the youth in the DFW metroplex.
Psi Chapter also visits and supports black owed businesses during the month of April. We hold webinars to educate our members, promote women in business and build an innovative network of female entrepreneurs, executives and professionals. We believe people do business with people they know, like and trust. We provide a forum for those relationships to build.
Psi’s Business Month committee recently started a feature at our Chapter’s monthly business meetings called “What’s Your Biz” to allow our members an opportunity to share information about their businesses. We believe each member should strive to grow their business, leadership and speaking skills, and share their abilities within the organization. We are dedicated to working together in growing and promoting women in business by building relationships.

Self Care Is Important:
Running a business can be stressful, draining and burnouts are common. It's important to ensure you're not sacrificing your mental, emotional and physical health.
Nourish Mantra Founder & CEO Ritika Jayaswal advocates a holistic approach to business. “Taking care of your mental health while running a business is very important,” Ritika says. “Every business has its own set of challenges and dealing with the stress and anxiety that comes with it is crucial.” Ritika says keeping your core values intact helps to achieve genuine happiness in business. For her, a love of animals was key.
